Suspension opening night

Please enjoy these images from the Gallery F group show currently showing at 31-33 Deakin Ave Mildura. Works range from photography, sculpture, installation, to encaustic, painting, ceramics and textiles. You can support our artist run space by visiting us during opening hours Thurs-Frid 10-4pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm.

May exhibition opening

Kerryn is in residence throughout the length of the exhibition making new work that builds on ideas related to climate change, solastalgia and balance. Her work in progress area will slowly transform into a material based installation which will support the original work and culminate in an official closing to be held on Saturday June 3rd from 12pm-2pm.

TEXTILE PLAY WORKSHOP @ GALLERY F

Layering textiles with paint and stitch

Participants recently has the pleasure of engaging in this unique workshop to develop their skills in textile techniques. Layering fabric with paint, appliqué, glitz and stitch by machine and/or by hand was a focus of the workshop. Each group member ended the days activities with a small piece to frame, to cover a folder or to extend.
The main aim of the day was extension, enjoyment and play.
Beginners to the experienced applied their new skills under the guidance of 
Valarie Robinson; a trained teacher and artist who exhibits her textile art nationally and internationally.
The workshop was held at Gallery F, MIM, 31-33 Deakin Ave, Mildura on Saturday 25th March
